Post Getaway

Whoa! How is it July already? And are there any songs with July in the lyrics? I guess Yankee Doodle Dandy. And that Chicago song about Saturday in the park.

Speaking of Chicago, I got back from that town on Sunday with no problems. Travel certainly went better than I expected, but I suppose that’s the beauty of non-stop flights. No connections to screw you up. But the most interesting thing about the trip was getting a ride back from the pre-wedding barbeque with a guy who’s a post-doctoral fellow in early brain development with a specialty in autism. Joy and I were hanging on his every word in the car, and then we made him go to the hotel bar with us and tell us more.
