Week's end

This week one of my cousins suggested we start a family Trivial Pursuit game--all questions about our family, the stories, our history. We came up with some questions from back in the day, but I think this week was more about creating a bunch of new questions. Every time we get together, things happen that make it into the family lore--this week it was wedding singing, and a crazy baseball injury--plus plenty of family gossip and chat and laughing until our faces hurt.

Whenever a week like this is trailing to an end, I find myself trying to hold on--to find one more thing to look forward to. We had the wedding, which is why we were all here, but then I told myself we STILL had the family reunion, and then we still had talking last night until the early morning, and then today, we still had some games and the final goodbye. But there's nothing left now--things are officially over, and it's back to real life and work tomorrow.

The more active I'm being, the fewer pics I'm taking--so here are a few from sitting around our table at the wedding.

About Me

  • I'm thirty & living in Amish Country, PA. I'm a marketing writer for a non-profit.
  • I'm Mennonite, but not in a head-covered, dress-wearing kind of way. More in a hippy-liberal, peace-loving kind of way.
  • I like books, discussing, thinking, my church, friends, and my family.
  • I'm good at gift-giving, shopping, and writing.
  • I'm bad at meeting new people, cleaning my car, and keeping my house warm.
  • I'm annoyed by people who wear shorts in the winter, create excessive drama, don't recycle, or talk about how fat they are.
