Yum.

Yeah, I’m not really psychotic. Just a bundle of insecurities and other random issues rolled together. In fact, did you know that if you reach 26 without having an episode of psychosis or schizophrenia or manic depression, than you’re probably okay? I read that somewhere and it made me (slightly) happy to turn 26.

So, I’m not crazy. But here’s a question: in the midst of normal life, do you ever just smell/taste the essence of something and suddenly crave it?

The other day it was Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. All of a sudden, sitting at my computer, I really wanted some of that salty, buttery, fake-cheese deliciousness. For some reason, and it wasn’t connected to anything I was doing, I could just taste that stuff.

Right now . . . I’m thinking Hawaiian Punch. Possibly with some ginger ale mixed in to make it tingly.

I am so far from pregnant it’s not funny, but I feel as though this is what that whole “food craving” thing must be about.

About Me

  • I'm thirty & living in Amish Country, PA. I'm a marketing writer for a non-profit.
  • I'm Mennonite, but not in a head-covered, dress-wearing kind of way. More in a hippy-liberal, peace-loving kind of way.
  • I like books, discussing, thinking, my church, friends, and my family.
  • I'm good at gift-giving, shopping, and writing.
  • I'm bad at meeting new people, cleaning my car, and keeping my house warm.
  • I'm annoyed by people who wear shorts in the winter, create excessive drama, don't recycle, or talk about how fat they are.
