Holiday

Thanksgiving 2006 is over. Recounting each day's events here would just get boring, but some highlights: a) saw Borat. Funny in spots, uncomfortable in others. b) had Thanksgiving dinner in a restaurant on Cape Cod. c) Went to karaoke. My sister-in-law is practically a professional singer, so EVERYONE comes out to hear her sing, and stays until 1 AM. Her version of "I Will Always Love You" closed out our evening.

Some pictures to illustrate the holiday below. More pictures, as usual, on Flickr.

Katelyn and Matthew enjoy a family Thanksgiving.

Madison and Drew making faces for Ali.

Mark and Katie. Are they a good-looking couple or what?

My parents, aunt, and a family friend are bemused by a drunken college girl singing "I Touch Myself."

About Me

  • I'm thirty & living in Amish Country, PA. I'm a marketing writer for a non-profit.
  • I'm Mennonite, but not in a head-covered, dress-wearing kind of way. More in a hippy-liberal, peace-loving kind of way.
  • I like books, discussing, thinking, my church, friends, and my family.
  • I'm good at gift-giving, shopping, and writing.
  • I'm bad at meeting new people, cleaning my car, and keeping my house warm.
  • I'm annoyed by people who wear shorts in the winter, create excessive drama, don't recycle, or talk about how fat they are.
