9 to 5

Can we talk about how much I love The Office?
It's the only show I plan my evening around, the only show that I watch that makes me laugh out loud, the only show that makes me talk to the TV and groan and cry.
I may be taking it all a bit too seriously.
Mainly, I love Jim. I'm putting up with this Karen girl right now, because she's pretty cool, and because obviously if Jim and Pam got together this early in the series all the good sexual tension would be gone. And two weeks ago, when Karen grinned and said, "I'm kind of into him" . . . well, that made me like her a lot. Also, that she would move to Scranton to be with him, even after he told her she should go to NYC.
BUT . . . Jim and Pam are it. Tonight, while Pam watched Jim and Karen together, it broke my heart for her. And all the awkwardness with Jim. Just so sad.
I have faith that things will work out someday. Jim and Pam BELONG together, people. It's fated.
But I hope the show's writers can find ways to keep them apart until the last season, because the show won't be nearly as fun without all this.

About Me

  • I'm thirty & living in Amish Country, PA. I'm a marketing writer for a non-profit.
  • I'm Mennonite, but not in a head-covered, dress-wearing kind of way. More in a hippy-liberal, peace-loving kind of way.
  • I like books, discussing, thinking, my church, friends, and my family.
  • I'm good at gift-giving, shopping, and writing.
  • I'm bad at meeting new people, cleaning my car, and keeping my house warm.
  • I'm annoyed by people who wear shorts in the winter, create excessive drama, don't recycle, or talk about how fat they are.
