Take a look, it's in a book

Yesterday's post was my 100th! Hooray!

Whenever I go to the library, I find myself hoping that the person checking my books out for me will comment on my choices. Like, "Ooh, these are good books" or "wow, have you read anything by her before?" Or that they'll make some reference to the odd pairings, to my eclectic style. Because if I were checking books out, I'd be so curious as to why and how people chose the books that they did, and I'd want to engage them in conversation about books they were getting that I'd read. That never happens to me, though. (Parenthetical question for any librarians who might be reading (Sara), are the people who do the checking out ALL librarians? Can you check books out for people without being a librarian?)

About Me

  • I'm thirty & living in Amish Country, PA. I'm a marketing writer for a non-profit.
  • I'm Mennonite, but not in a head-covered, dress-wearing kind of way. More in a hippy-liberal, peace-loving kind of way.
  • I like books, discussing, thinking, my church, friends, and my family.
  • I'm good at gift-giving, shopping, and writing.
  • I'm bad at meeting new people, cleaning my car, and keeping my house warm.
  • I'm annoyed by people who wear shorts in the winter, create excessive drama, don't recycle, or talk about how fat they are.
